This lively Pinot Noir was fermented in 20% new French Oak for 2 years, which leads to a smooth finish that suggests the sumptuous flavors of Creme Brûlée. Notes of Bing Cherries and red fruits bring out a slight tartness which adds texture and complexity to his medium bodied wine.
Inspired by wine makers of Tuscany, our Super Rosso is a blend of Sangiovese, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon. This well-structured, balanced wine shows attractive hints of red plum, Bing cherries and traces of graphite on the finish.
This estate blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Syrah - or Shiraz as the Aussies call it - has medium tannins and a robust structure. With a rustic nose of wet red bricks and a finish of graphite and currents, this southern hemisphere-styled wine will be a favorite with bolder dishes of lamb or beef.
Two clones of Sangiovese, from two separate blocks on the GV Cellars Estate, come together to form this harmonious, food-friendly wine. Red fruits, mineralogy and balanced acidity make this wine the perfect compliment to pizza and other tomato sauce based foods.
This newest vintage of our Bordeaux-style red blend is 67% Merlot, 22% Cabernet Sauvignon and 11% Petite Verdot with grapes daily coming from our estate vineyard. For this vintage, we stayed true to the varietals of the Bordeaux region with the addition of Napa Valley Petite Verdot. This wine has a rich, round texture and dark fruit complexity pleasing to those who enjoy a full bodied wine.
Our Dolcetto was handpicked at optimal ripeness from our estate vineyard. This wonderful Italian varietal compliments a variety of foods, including your favorite pasta or pork dishes.
Our Syrah benefits from our afternoon winds, making an intense but balanced wine, This Syrah has a definite fruit-forwardness which will intensify over time, but will work well with stews and meat dishes right now!
