Our single vineyard estate grown fruit is a true representation of our fearless leader and his oversized lust for life. Frank D'Ambrosio and his family have been perfecting the art of wine since 1983 and currently own over 50 planted acres throughout Napa Valley of premium small lot fruit. Frank's most recent label under the Verismo umbrella and expression of his land in bottle form is what we are all proud to present to you: Essere Franco. With winemaker Tom Foster truly respecting the process as an art, we've decided to put the same amount of artistic energy into the package of our new portfolio of wines. Each bottle of Essere Franco has been screen printed and hand dipped in chip resistant wax, producing a package as expressive as the wine it carries.
Thank you for taking the time to visit our page, we hope you enjoy our wines as much as we did making them. So enjoy Essere Franco, and discover the magic of Napa Valley.
“The stylish and impressive 2013 Malbec comes from the Las Cerezas Vineyard in Yountville. This wine will make people stand up and notice. Dense purple-colored, with loads of licorice, coffee bean, blueberry and blackberry fruit, medium to full body, good acidity and ripe tannin, it should age beautifully for 15 or more years.”
The fruit for this delicious wine was sourced from the Las Cerezas Vineyard in the Yountville AVA of Napa Valley. Aged 18 months in 80% new French Oak, this medium to full bodied wine has flavors of dark berry and chocolate, with a touch of black pepper. It carries a crisp acidity with ripe plum aromas on the nose. It pairs incredible with Italian foods, and has quickly become our favorite wine to make since we bottled our first stand alone Malbec in 2007.

From our Reverence vineyard in Coombsville. With its dense purple color, this Cabernet exudes dark berries and is lush, full, intense, and pure. With a full-bodied mouth feel it epitomizes the essence of a Napa Valley Cab.
Located on the south-eastern side of Napa, Reverence Vineyard is characterized by its slightly cooler climate conditions and for its diverse landscape of lightly hilly terrain with rocky mineral rich volcanic soils. The vineyard was planted in 2002 with an array of Cabernet Sauvignon clones, and 110R & 101-14 rootstocks. The perfect balance of challenging typography and a mild climate is ideal for producing low yielding yet intensely complex fruit. Our ultra premium Cabernet Sauvignon grapes reflect the intensity of this varietal while maintaining a classic delicacy and finesse.

The 2016 Chardonnay offers up aromas of spiced pears, ripe peaches, popcorn and buttered toast with a waft of cedar. Medium to full-bodied with grippy texture and a lively backbone cutting through the intense flavors, it finishes long and spicy.

Light toasted notes with white flower and Asian pear with subtle hints of vanilla. The wine is bright and vibrant with the same Asian pear showing through on the palate.
