Tasting Notes

Mineral structure, poached pear, creaminess, long finish.

Grassy, gooseberry on the nose, greengage plum, tangerine blossom, classic, Sancerre style, a touch of minerality, key lime pie, and a bit of kerosene on the finish.

20 months in neutral oak barrels

2,600 elevation at this vineyard.

Slight reduction on the nose, rubber hose, dried apricots, rich - powerful entry, medium palate, golden raisins - a white wine for red wine drinkers.

The owners of this vineyard warned Andy & Ali that there might not be any grapes left as they were so ripe and juicy that the deer were devouring them. However, Ali, sensing the grapes needed to be saved, immediately did an inversion in the middle of the winery, in hopes of warding off the deer AND convincing the owners that indeed these grapes would be in the right hands. Fortunately, the inversion worked and as they say, the rest is history.
